Vegetation& Site Clearance

Pre-development vegetation clearance, scrub and bramble removal, invasive species treatment and full site preparation for construction and landscaping works.

We deliver vegetation and site clearance services for developers, local authorities and infrastructure clients preparing land for construction, landscaping or remediation. Our operations cover everything from light scrub removal and bramble clearance through to dense woodland strip and full site preparation.

All clearance works are planned with consideration for ecological constraints. We schedule operations outside nesting bird season where required, work under ecological watching briefs, and coordinate with ecologists for protected species checks. Invasive species such as Japanese knotweed, Himalayan balsam and giant hogweed are treated and removed in accordance with current legislation and Environment Agency guidance.

Our fleet includes mulchers, flail mowers, excavators with tree shears and grab attachments, and industrial chippers for processing arisings on-site. All plant is operated by CPCS-ticketed personnel. We handle waste classification and disposal through licensed carriers, maintaining full duty of care documentation for planning condition discharge.

For linear infrastructure projects — pipeline routes, cable corridors and road improvement schemes — we provide end-to-end vegetation clearance from initial scrub removal through to finished formation. Our mechanised approach using excavator-mounted mulching heads and tree shears delivers high output rates on large-scale clearance programmes, reducing programme duration and per-hectare costs compared to traditional hand clearance methods.

Japanese Knotweed & Invasive Species

We provide full Japanese knotweed management including survey, treatment plans, herbicide application (PA1/PA6 certified), excavation and removal to licensed landfill, and on-site burial cell construction. Management plans are prepared to satisfy mortgage lender requirements and planning conditions. We also treat Himalayan balsam, giant hogweed, rhododendron and other Schedule 9 invasive species in accordance with Environment Agency guidance.

Mechanised Clearance

For large-scale clearance projects, we deploy excavator-mounted mulching heads, tree shears and forestry flails that process vegetation in-situ — eliminating the need for separate handling, chipping and removal operations. This approach is particularly effective on embankments, flood plains and areas with poor access. Material is reduced to mulch on-site, which can be incorporated into the ground or removed as required.
