Mechanised arboriculture is central to our civils offering. We deploy a fleet of excavator-mounted tree shears (up to 600mm cut capacity), grapple saws and mulching heads for high-volume vegetation clearance on embankments, cuttings, flood defence assets and development corridors. This method eliminates the need for rope access or MEWP deployment on steep or unstable ground, delivering safer, faster clearance with lower unit costs.

Bank mowing on flood defence embankments, reservoir dams, rail cuttings and highway slopes is carried out using specialist tracked remote-control mowers (such as the Spider ILD02) and excavator-mounted flail heads. These machines operate safely on gradients up to 55°, maintaining grass to Environment Agency or asset-owner specification without the risk of operative exposure on steep terrain.

We provide full vegetation and site clearance for linear infrastructure projects including pipeline routes, cable corridors and road improvement schemes. Our operations include scrub clearance, tree removal, stump grinding, topsoil stripping and formation works — taking sites from raw land to construction-ready formation in a single mobilisation.

All civils works are delivered under CDM 2015 arrangements. We prepare site-specific RAMS, attend pre-start meetings, coordinate with principal contractors and maintain daily briefing records. Our waste management systems ensure full duty of care documentation for planning condition discharge and environmental compliance.
